Dark Oxygen explore the spiritual connec;on between the ocean as a space of breathing and the“recent discovery” of oxygen production in the deep ocean without sunlight or photosynthesis being affected by deep sea mining.
The public is invited into a sonic dance installation that conjures breathing as spiritual awakening. Can we catch our breath and catch the spirit together in these trying times? Movement into shadows that speak and ghosts that dance fill the air.
The ocean is the lungs of the earth. What would happen if the ocean couldn't breathe? What happens when the ocean whispers our ancestors names?
